Just Married: Kim & Patrick

Tara I have photographed a lot of weddings over the years and they all have special memories for me. One in particular stands out for being extra special and I am self admittedly very biased about it!  :)  I had the fun but challenging job to document my younger brother’s wedding. Patrick and Kim […]

Our 2015 Vision Boards

As creatives, I knew my associate photographer, Tara, and I would love working on a vision board project. Vision boards are a deliberate choosing of what we would like to see, feel, attract or have in our lives. Creating one acts as a visual reminder of what our goals and expectations are. They are also […]

Engaged: Jessie & Brian

It’s no secret that I plan my life around the schedule of the Syracuse University men’s basketball games, so when I scheduled Jessie and Brian’s consultation for 2 p.m. on the day the Cuse were playing Virginia Tech, I was sure the game would be over in plenty of time. With 15:42 left, the Orange […]

10 Year Anniversary Giveaway #2

It is time for Giveaway #2!! Last month I wrote about my newest product The Unbound Album from H.H. Boogie. So I thought it only fitting that this months giveaway be another H.H. Boogie favorite, The Evan. This is what H.H. Boogie had to say about it: Concise and exactly what it needs to be. The […]

March 10, 2015 - 3:12 pm

Susan Kane - Engagement or wedding pictures :)

March 10, 2015 - 3:26 pm

Chris Bradley - I would put pictures of our engagement session in The Evan. Also, someday when my fiance’ is pregnant I think it would be cool to put pictures of a maternity shoot in The Evan. I would also put things in it from when our baby was just born, like a pair of baby socks, some pictures of our little family at the hospital when the baby is born, maybe a little outfit or part of the christening gown. My fiance’ and I would take excellent care of The Evan and hope to be chosen as the winner :)

March 10, 2015 - 3:54 pm

Christine Malagisi - I loved working with Meghan for our wedding she did a wonderful job at capturing all the moments of our special day. I would fill the Evan with photos of our daughter from the day she was born and with special notes sent to us from our loved ones. I will keep this box and on the day Ella gets married pass it on to her.

March 10, 2015 - 4:59 pm

Joy Logan - Over the past ten years I’ve stumbled across photos, notes and cards that my husband sent me while he was deployed in Iraq. It was our first year of marriage and we were so happy to be married but so sad to be apart. Those mementos from that year have never had a special home. The Evan would preserve a time in our life that is so very special and indescribable to most. It’s not an engagement or “happy” time but it was filled with hope and love all the same.

March 10, 2015 - 5:02 pm

Megan Gribble - This is a tough one! But I think I’d hold onto it and put memories and photographs from our (future) honeymoon in it! That way we have the Unbound Album with our engagement pictures and wedding album/memories, and then would have an equally gorgeous piece in The Evan to match! Then as our family evolves and we have children, I would change out the memories to include baby pictures and memories as they grow up. This would then turn into a family heirloom that could be passed down and cherished by the next generation.

Oh I hope we win :) it would be so amazing to have an Unbound Album and The Evan to hold all our amazing memories as we grow as a couple and family!

March 10, 2015 - 5:33 pm

Traci McLaughlin - I would use this to store the pictures we had done for my parents 40th anniversary. It ended up being an even bigger gift to ourselves because we lost mom, unexpectedly, just a few months later. Mom was never in the pictures, because she was always the one taking them. We hired a photographer to follow our family around while we went apple and pumpkin picking and have those memories captured to look back on.

March 11, 2015 - 3:44 am

Abby Horan - I’m obsessed with pictures AND keepsake boxes! I absolutely adore this wooden box!! The fact that it is made by H.H. Boogie and my nickname for my little brother is Boogie…it would be the perfect place for my favorite photos of Christopher. I cannot wait to finally have some professional pictures of him from our engagement session. Thank you Meghan for adding the option of including family members! <3

March 13, 2015 - 9:48 pm

Tracy @ Cotton Pickin Cute - What a wonderful way to give special keepsakes even more meaning. I would put something special including a photo of both my parents who have passed, and my husbands parents & brothers who have passed in this box. It’s a wonderful way to honor and remember the ones who are no longer with us. Thank you for a chance to win. I was so moved by you changing header. What wonderful ideas for future brides.

March 14, 2015 - 2:04 am

Sarah Vito - Keepsakes for my sweet baby Maya!!!!

March 15, 2015 - 7:45 pm

lexie mac - I would put our memory album’s in it. Og myself and my husband to be. Since we have been dateing I’ve been keepin all of our memories in a book, but that book is now exploding and I’m worried about loosing some of the pages. It has movie stubs, concert tickets, photos and more photos. Also things like invitations to weddings and some of the little things we give each other…. it would be nice to be able to keep it all together and add nore. Like out cards for birthdays and loving notes we leave early h other.

March 16, 2015 - 2:48 am

Tarin - I would keep a piece of lace from my dress and the dried flowers from my bouquet. I’d keep the miniature tea cup set of my grandmother’s which my cousin and I will both carry one day. I would also keep the written note I wrote my Fiancé when he was just my boyfriend but I knew he was the one.

March 16, 2015 - 1:46 pm

Jodie Tiffin - I would put wedding pictures and memorabilia in The Evan. It’s perfect for our keepsakes!

March 16, 2015 - 7:11 pm

Rachel WIlcox - I would use the box for 1 thing for a lock of my daughter’s hair, who will be our flower girl at our upcoming wedding. The Evan is gorgeous and I would love to put all the little keep sakes from our wedding day in there, my fiancee’s boutonniere, a copy of the menu, pictures my friends took. So exciting!

March 16, 2015 - 10:18 pm

Caly - After 8.5 years I’m finally marrying my best friend and I can’t think of a more beautiful way to display not only the images, but other small mementos from our wedding day. :)

March 17, 2015 - 9:16 pm

Amanda Riley - I would put in our upcoming wedding photos and also family photos…I think these are so neat. I would also have it engraved with our new family name…

March 17, 2015 - 11:38 pm

Lara Breon - I would put my babies’ hospital bracelets, ultrasound pictures, and other tiny mementos in this beauty. Currently, they are wedged into the bottom of my junky jewelry box. This would be such a special place for the memories from the early years from my blessings’ lives.

March 17, 2015 - 11:43 pm

Melissa Paz - I would likely use it for keepsakes and photos of my three beautiful daughters.

March 19, 2015 - 5:59 pm

admin - Congratulations to Jodie!!!!

March 20, 2015 - 5:47 pm

Sarah - I’d love to know what people put in the vials! They’re so sweet, I think of sand from a honeymoon or maybe from a sand ceremony. Just curious to know what others have put in them.
I never printed our engagement photos (wedding photos are another story..) We were both heavier when we had them done, they’re tucked away and hidden but having them printed and out to see how far we’ve come not only weight wise but relationship wise I think would be a sweet idea.
I’ve been looking at a large wooden box (think shoe box but way fancier, thanks wppi) and getting hundreds of 4×6′s printed so this lil guy would be the lil sister to my wedding box that I am dreaming of! <3

How I found honor on the anniversary of my dad’s death

Today is the 26th anniversary of my dad’s death. Every single year, I dread the month of February. It is the only month of the year I do not look forward to. I hate it. It seems to me everything bad happens in February. I just live for the moment of March 1st to roll […]

February 23, 2015 - 10:26 pm

Debra Renfrew - Meghan, you are an amazing person. Your Dad would be so very proud of you.

February 24, 2015 - 12:01 am

Charlotte Arcadi - Meghan, again I must say you are a very caring, kind, and intelligent young woman. Your words have really touched me. This September will be 6 years since my husband passed. After reading what you wrote, I plan on doing something to celebrate his life and not feel sad all day. Maybe random acts of kindness will be what I/we will do. Thanks for sharing your feelings.

The Unbound Album

I am the girl who has boxes upon boxes of my life. Sadly, most of them are shoe boxes in my basement, but to me, their contents are the story of my life. They house old love letters, movie tickets, pictures, concert tickets, pressed flowers, airline tickets – evidence of a life well lived and […]
